The Handwritten Letter Project has been a four-year project of Criag Oldham, who has requested handwritten letters from designers and artists on their stationary. The project is a response to the feeling of how “personal a letter can be,” especially when online communication feels increasingly depersonalized and automated. While we often forget that we could use pen and paper, Oldham only asked contributors to respond to his request by their own hand. The results are satisfyingly varied – from the fingerprint of Paul Belford to the multi-colored pencil of Milton Glaser.
